This was my first time creating a look like this, not bad, but it could always be better.  Definitely a creepy halloween look, my kids needless to say found it extremely disgusting :o)

Magnetic Nail Polish!

What it is:

Get Your Skin Ready For Fall!

Now that summer is over, don't ignore the discomfort of dry, itchy skin due to low humidity & cooler air, follow these simple steps to ease you into the change of seasons!

• Moisturize, can't stress that enough especially now since the change of weather can reek havoc on your skin, and a heavy moisturizer at that.
• Buy a humidifier, it's no secret that the winter air takes away moisture from your skin, the humidifier will replace airbore moisture that we don't get during the winter months.
• Take shorter showers, yes I know you're thinking why would I ever do that, but here's why, hot showers & baths wash away moisture-trapping oils on our body, spending less time & using warm water instead means your body won't have to work twice as hard to re-hydrate your skin.
• Use Sunscreen, just because Summer is gone doesn't mean you have to neglect your skin, you need some degree of year-round sun protection, most moisturizers have an SPF of 15 or higher, so check your labels.

So I just bought this foundation, and I have to say I really liked it. It did what it said it would do & I really liked the way my skin looked after I applied it.  It did appear much smoother and you barely noticed the lines around my eyes.  Most importantly my skin felt hydrated after using this foundation.  The only cons I have are be careful when turning the dial to get the product out because a lot will come out at one time.  I'm also not crazy about the brush, I use it to put it on my face, and then I use my own foundation brush to buff it on to my skin.  Other than that, I'd say definitely give this foundation a try!

My Beauty Addiction!

So I heard a lot of good things about this brand, My Beauty Addiction so I decided to give it a go.  I ordered from their site on Etsy, I believe it was 5 jars (5 grams) for $17.00, but you can order directly from their site as well http://www.mybeautyaddiction.com/ pigments are $5.00 each.  I haven’t tried any other of their products, but I definitely love thier pigments!

I purchased the following:

• Snowflake - A white pigment with small silver reflects.
• Champagne - A peachy/beige pigment that is creamy and nearly matte with a fair amount of sparkle.
• Karma - A deep intense purple with a little sparkle.
• Smoke & Mirrors - This color is SEXY! A very interesting color that is a cross between a smokey brown & grey but with a coppery purple sparkle that makes this color absolutely gorgeous!
• Smut - A deep dark charcoal learning toward blue with a ‘plumy’-undertone.

I was definitely impressed with these pigments, especially the Smoke & Mirrors it’s by far my favorite.

Fall Trend for 2011: Bold & Bright Lips!

Think Crimson Red, Burgundy, Cherry Red, the list goes on & on, & it's making a big statement for the Fall, but remember in order to rock a nice bold lip it’s best to keep the rest of the face as neutral as possible.

Urban Decay Book of Shadows 4 ($64.00) is a limited edition makeup palette.  It contains 16 eyeshadows (0.03 oz. each), one Liquid Eyeliner (0.058 fl. oz.), Original Primer Potion (0.13 fl. oz.), and Supercurl Mascara (0.18 fl. oz.). In all honesty, the best shades in this palette are Baked, Bender, Lost, and Zephyr in terms of pigmentation and texture.  Blue Bus, Crystal, and Skimp I found them to be difficult to use, Crystal being the worse.  I really haven't played with the technology portion of this palette, but maybe one day I will.



Inglot 20 Freedom Palette Review & Swatches!

Hi beauties!  First off let me say I've heard so many good things about Inglot that I was so happy to hear they had a store by me at GSP so I had to get there & check out all the hype for myself.  Boy am I glad I did.  Let me say this I LOVE INGLOT!  The eyeshadows are very good quality & the pigmentation is amazing.  Most importantly it's inexpensive, seriously this whole palette cost me $125.00 (inc. tax).  I did alot of research before coming up with this palette & I'm not disappointed at all in my selections.

Inglot has 5 different Eyeshadow finishes:

• Pearl (2.7 gms)
• Shine (3.5 gms)
• AMC (2.7 gms)
• Double Sparkle(2.5 gms)
• Matte (2.3 gms)

I created a 20 pan palette from their Freedom Palette line, and listed the colors below:



Below are the swatches for each one:

These swatches were taken on the inside of my arm DRY & no base, with no more more than 2 passes on each pan per swatch.  Another great thing to know, from what the lady at Inglot told me, a primer is really not needed with these eyeshadows because thier shadows have primer in them, which I thought was pretty cool to learn.  I still use primer though for my sanity :o)

This is a great nuetral palette, my next palette will be a color palette, but I must do my research on that as well.  Hope this helps, bye beauties!

Oh No I Burnt My Face!

Hi beauties!  Here's a quick look I created on Sunday while I had some down time, I did this pretty quick so it didn't come out as expected, but I still like the way it came out.  This will most likely be the look I'll be wearing for our Halloween party this year.  This is fairly simple to do, all you need is toilet paper, liquid latex (if you don't have liquid latex some Elmer's School Glue will work as well since it is non-toxic & washable), some face paint (preferrably red, brown, black, & pink), & some fake blood.
