What Does Your Lipstick Color Say About You???

Ever wonder what men think about our choice in lipstick color, well here's the scoop!

#1.) Classic Red- It means you want attention and you’re trying to stand out from the crowd. In general, guys like it, and it looks kinda classy. The one downside is, it’s not a great color for kissing. A safer bet is a normal, toned-down red.

#2.) Hot Pink- To guys, it means you're adventurous and not afraid to go wild. But it can seem out of place if you’re wearing something more formal.

#3.) Dark Purple- On the right woman, dark lipstick can definitely get a guy’s attention. It means you’re edgy and not afraid to take risks. And you’re different, but only because you choose to be different.

#4.) A Neutral Color- Guys don’t tend to like lipstick when it’s the same color as your skin. It works on some women, but supposedly it makes most women look cold.

#5.) Bright Orange- Bright colors are more popular with younger women, because you come across as wild, confident, and probably a lot of fun. But if you’re not young enough to pull it off, they just make you look like a clown.

#6.) Metallic- Unless it’s part of a Halloween costume or you’re Lady Gaga, metallic lipstick makes you look weird and trashy. On the other hand, plenty of guys like weird and trashy.

Milk of Magnesia for Oily Skin????

I know, I know, I'm late with this lol.  While searching through YouTube & various other sites for something to control the oil on your face, I stumbled upon this product, Milk of Magnesia (M.o.M), so curiousity took control & I went out & purchased a bottle to see if it truly lives up to the hype, & let me tell you it does not dissappoint!!!

I have very oily skin especially around my T-Zone, the majority around my eyebrows, & I tend to look like a shiny disco ball by the end of the day if I don't use anything to control the oil, & this has been such a savior.

I go through my normal skin routine, cleanser, toner, & moisturizer, I then follow it up with a thin layer of M.o.M, try not to pile it on because it will leave you with white residue on your face.  I apply it with a cosmetic sponge, be sure to shake the bottle first before applying.  Once I let it dry, I sometimes (not all the time because it does a pretty good job on it's own) I follow it up with the Monistat Chaffing Gel on my T-Zone only, then I proceed with my foundation & the rest of my face routine.

Let me tell you my face goes on for hours without being oily, since I only put on a thin layer, naturally after about 6 hours or so a little oil seeps through but nothing in comparison to how oily my face use to get before using this.

You can also use M.o.M as a overnight face mask, & as a deodarant, I'm sure there is more, just keep experimenting with it.  Enjoy beauties!!!

What Are The Benefits Of Using Witch Hazel???

Witch Hazel is an extract from the leaves & bark of the North American shrub Hamamelis Virginiana.  There are more than 30 traditional uses for witch hazel.  It's primary use through the years has been for the treatment of skin conditions.

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY:
Can be used to treat conditions such as, diaper rash, razor burn, and bug bites.

ANTIMICROBIAL:
Another use is to soothe poison ivy, treat chicken pox, and heal bruises & cuts, all caused or irrated by viruses & bacteria.

ASTRINGENT:
Witch hazel is considered to be a potent astringent due to the high level of tannins in the leaves, tannins help to tighten skin proteins which then form a protecting covering to help promote skin healing.

MOISTURIZER:
You can use witch hazel to lock in moisture onto your skin.

MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS:
Witch hazel is safe & effective to use daily, if needed, on your skin.  I do & I swear by this stuff.  After I wash my face, I use a cotton pad and use this right after.  It removes what my wash left behind.  It nourishes my skin, minimizes my pores, controls the oil on my face, and leaves it nice & smooth.  I have combination skin, and I tend to get flaky on my forehead & since using this there is no more flakiness.  I totally see the difference is my skin and I highly recommend this product to everyone!  You can find this at your local drug store, I purchased mine from Walmart.  Dickinson's carries a whole line of witch hazel products so check them out!
